Roto-Rooter saved the day a few weeks back. We had a sewer line clog—not a great way to start a Saturday! We called RR and they dispatched Brian within an hour. A supervisor called shortly after and said he was coming, too. Very impressive responsiveness on a weekend. Brian was so friendly and knowledgeable. He diagnosed our issue, explained the problem we were having, and walked me through how he would fix it. Every step of the way he kept me posted on progress and timing. He was fully transparent about the cost and what we wound up paying was very reasonable, especially since it is a Saturday. No pressure or sales tactics. We paid much less than the “names” that advertise on local TV. We could not be happier and are so relieved after a stressful situation. We will call RR from now on for all our needs in this area.

I’m honestly pretty shocked by the final bill and hope the company can take another look at this.
When I signed the invoice, I believed the total was $210.24, but after reviewing the receipt more closely I realized the total was actually $710.24.
The plumber was at my house for a total of 49 minutes. To be fair, he spent about 33 minutes of that time was going to Home Depot to pick up the necessary part, which I don’t fault him for. However, the invoice shows 1.6 hours of labor totaling $684.80, which effectively works out to over $400 per hour.
The work itself was very straightforward. I had previously installed a utility sink and just needed help installing a P-trap that didn’t line up properly. Once he returned with the part, the actual work was completed in about 10 minutes, and I was paying the bill shortly after. He also installed the drain earlier which took only a few minutes.
The plumber was friendly and the work seems to be done correctly, but the pricing feels extremely disproportionate to the amount of work performed.
What made it more confusing was that when I mentioned I had a $15 coupon, he told me he would give me “way more off than that” so I didn’t need to use it, which made it sound like I was receiving some kind of discount.
I have no problem paying fairly for professional work, but $700 for a very small job and under an hour of total time at the house seems excessive. I’m hoping someone from the company can review the invoice and reach out to discuss.
EDIT: Roto Rooter reached out and was able to provide a resolution to this matter. I appreciate their willingness to work through this and make things fair.

Aiden was very nice . He unclog a sewer.trap. He was very professional. He recommended we have a camara go done the pope to check it. Someone called the next day from the office saying that a tech would be out to photograph the drain in the next hour and a half and three hours later they still hadn’t been there. I had to call to see what happened. I guess he was sent an emergency call and no one called me back. I had to reach out to them. That’s why the 4 star rating and price.
