He explained everything they would be doing, in detail, from start to finish. He spent over an hour with us explaining every option available, including financing options. He didn’t pressure us at all to make decisions. We felt very comfortable working with him. We were beyond impressed they started the work immediately. Manuel the technician did a great job clearing our kitchen sink. He explained everything and made sure everything was cleaned up before he left. 10/10 for Manuel's work.
Roto-Rotors on site quote on the other hand will knock the wind out of you. In hindsight I should have asked for a quote ahead of the appointment. After a bit of post service research, it seems to be at least double a local plumber would charge.

My kitchen sink was clogged on the morning of Thanksgiving Day 2025. I was hosting dinner later that day and happy to see Roto-Rooter was available to send someone out by 8:30am. The plumber arrived on time and was able to unclog the pipe within an hour. He was very pleasant and helped us get back to business before our guests arrived. Everything was great until I received the bill…$610.00 (which includes a $50 coupon🙄). I understand it’s a holiday and rates will be higher but, I think they’re grossly overpriced and taking full advantage of people in need. Unfortunately, I won’t be calling them again.

Needed a water heater replacement the day before Thanksgiving for my 90 year old father-in-law. Our technician Dazhaun was very personable and friendly. Did a good job and got the water installed that day. Felt that the price was high ( $3600 for water heater and 4 hours of labor ). Should have asked about breakdown of cost ahead of time to see if he could have come down some on the price but was under the holiday timeframe. Other than the high price, the technician was very good.

I called Roto-Rooter for a clogged pipes. They sent Oliver who came stating that its going to cost me $600 to clear the pipe. He went to get his equipment for snaking the pipe. The machine would not start so he took the machine apart to repair it in my basement. Oliver spent more than 45 minutes repairing his machine. He didn't clear the clogged pipes but he did fix his machine and then charged me $250 after spending almost an hour working on his machine. He claimed his snake couldn't go any further and I needed a jetter , I needed to pay $2100 out of pocket. By the time he was telling me this he had already scheduled an appointment for his coworkers to come in the morning. I had him cancel that appointment because I needed to wrap my head on what just happened. The next I called Roto-Rooter to voice my dissatisfaction I was transferred to Maria who was not nice at all. I had to remind her that I am the customer who was been taken for a ride here not her. To make a long story short she said she will send a camera guy. The problem I had was that Oliver had made decision without having a camera. The camera guy came and I watched him barely inserting the camera and then he said the only way to clear the pipe my porch will have to be taken apart and new pipes put in and the cost out of pocket will be $8,500. I called another company and they jetted the pipe for $1100. This amount was $1000 cheaper than what Roto-Rooter wanted to charge. This was my customer experience working Roto-Rooter.
