Pedro is a nice guy who shows up on time and does good work. But he is not a man of his word.
Our toilet flange was installed improperly (slightly below the height of the tile) 12 years ago. It worked fine until it started leaking from the flange into the crawlspace. Pedro diagnosed the issue quickly, and recommended replacing the flange, which he quoted at $1450. The flange was accessible from the crawlspace (no concrete slab.)
I asked about flange extenders, which are code-compliant and used by many professionals for exactly this issue. (It would have been a $20 part and a one-hour job for me and probably half that for him.) He said it wouldn't be right and insisted that we should replace the whole flange. Because he's the expert, I agreed and he did the work, which appears to have been done well. He worked hard and was professional while he was here.
Before we agreed to the job, I asked if he could provide an itemized receipt with parts and labor. He said that he usually doesn't do that but that he would be willing to do it for me and that he'd send it within a few days. After a few weeks of following up about it via text, he finally sent a receipt that only had the total price on it. I asked him several more times and reminded him that he said he would send an itemized receipt. After talking several more times, he continues to refuse to provide an itemized receipt. His last text says "Joel, you are a great guy to don't take it personal... just flat rate I'm sorry and I said sorry because what else can I do."
I wouldn't leave a negative review just for this, but since we're here: he also seems to have a bias towards replacing things. First, he replaced our whole toilet seat with a brand new one, even though all that was wrong was that one of the plastic nuts was broken. (A set of bolts AND nuts costs $3, and I'd already purchased them.) He did not charge extra for this. Second, I asked for his advice on replacing the faucet valve in our kitchen sink. He looked at the faucet and said "it's not a name brand, so you won't be able to get the part. You should just replace the whole thing." It turned out to be a name brand, and I bought the Kohler replacement valve for $15 and replaced it in 10 minutes.
I feel bad to be leaving a negative review, but trust is very important and I cannot recommend trusting Pedro.

Pedro arrived at my house within a couple hours of my call. He had to stop to get a new garbage disposer too. He was prompt, professional with attention to detail. The quality and pride of workmanship was clear. I highly recommend this plumber.

Pedro really came through big time for me and my 12 tenants. I found a puddle and hot water leak by the water heater, and Pedro responded immediately to my phone call and fixed the problem quickly. He is detailed with his work and solder joints, got it right the first time, courteous to me and the tenants, and found and fixed another potential problem during his visit.
