We called Mr. Rooter of Wesley Chapel after a sponge accidentally became lodged in our toilet. James, the manager, came out and attempted to remove it but was unable to retrieve it. He told us the sponge had likely been pushed through and that the toilet should be fine, although it was still flushing slowly.
The next day, the toilet stopped flushing completely. When we called back, we were told another service call would be required and that there was no warranty on the work.
We then hired a different plumber, who removed the toilet and found the sponge still lodged inside at the bottom of the toilet. It had not passed into the plumbing system, it had simply been pushed further in. Once the sponge was removed, the toilet worked normally again.
James was friendly and professional during the visit, but the original problem was not resolved. We paid about $200 for the initial service call and then another $250 to have a second plumber properly remove the sponge.
Unfortunately, based on our experience, I cannot recommend this service.

As a home owner, the most stressful thing is finding work that needs to be done, that you can’t either A: do yourself or B: know someone that does quality work and won’t overcharge.
I recently ran into this problem and James walked me through on the phone my options and even gave me some ideas for how not to have to call them out. I eventually decided to book an appointment anyways as I was unsure my level of ‘handyman-ness’ was up to the task. James showed up 30 minutes before my appointment time. Looked at the problem I had. Did about 30 minutes of work and then said there, you got it from here and can handle the rest. What could have been a several hundred dollar repair turned into $20 of parts and James’s refusal to take any sort of payment for his time.
I am still shocked that he came to a strangers house and offered his own time to help with my plumbing needs. This is 100% a company that should be used and will not hesitate next time I have a plumbing issue that needs an experienced hand!
