More Info from a previous review and response. UPDATE TO RESPONSE A MONTH AGO FROM Please check your records again as Midwestern Plumbing was is the Plumbing Company DR Horton used as their plumber for all the Brand New Homes that were built in Trenton Ohio this past 5 - 6 years and Neighbor after Neighbor all up and down the street have had NOTHING but plumbing issues. Midwestern Plumbing was at our house 3 - 5 times in a matter of 1 year from move in Fall 2023 but never after that. I would never have you in my home again. I can only imagine the work you do for Residential if you work is this shotty for DR Horton with Brand New Homes. Let me start off with how is it that darn near every single homes water pressure is over 90, 100 some reading at 130 and140 psi? Who did not check the water pressure when water heaters were installed or was the water pressure checked and nothing done? As a plumbing company you should be aware water pressure should not exceed 80 psi, so please do not point fingers at the City of the Builder. Not 1 single home as a PRV valve to reduce the pressure below 80 but instead we have home after home that are flooding due to high water pressure, expansion tanks failing, T&P Valve failing. The only reason we found out our water pressure was over 90 was when we had the plumbing Midwestern completed in our house (updated) using our plumber. Our plumber asked what our water pressure was, we did not know and he checked for us and our pressure was over 90 psi. Bathroom surround showers that were not caulked and leak causing mold, toilets that leak weeks into moving into a Brand New Home and YES, our water heater was plumbed backwards, Our Plumber had me put my hand around the pipes to feel the temperature and the RIGHT was HOT to touch where the Left was Cold. The Top of the tank clearly marks with the Red and Blue Ring as Hot and Cold (left and right) but they were installed backwards. Who did not catch that, the plumber did not, whomever signed off on the work did not ..... ridiculous. Midwestern Plumbing was in my home 3 - 4 times prior to a year of being in our brand new built home and you are not welcome back. Kitchen sink faucet not working, no water coming out. It worked fine for a few weeks but all of a sudden not working. Midwestern Plumber response (same plumber again) that happens when all the debris from the builder gets backed up in the lines, proceeds to go next door to another brand new house and get their faucet only to be advised, they have the same issue. We had to wait a few days without sink water. This is a brand new home, go get a new faucet, Home Depot is close. Leaking toilet and same plumber fixed and made a snide remark that it will probably happen again. Full Bath shower water was not getting hot, not even close to hot, barely lukewarm even after letting the water run for 5 minutes (as I timed it many times) ... Same Plumber, response - it is the way the plumbing lines are run. The water heater is across the hall in the utility closet. Months go by and still the same issue so we called and same plumber came back out from Midwestern Plumbing but this time advised the shower valve was bad. The plumber checked the shower valve the 1st time he was here but months later now it is bad and the issue did not change. The braided hoses that came with the refrigerator were in their packaging in a drawer, never installed but the braided hoses for the washer were installed and connected to the Push Pull Shut Off Valve. Shall I go on? YES you were in our Home and YES Midwestern Plumbing was the Plumber that DR Horton used in all the new homes that have been built here in Trenton in the past 5 - 6 years.

In this day and age, finding excellent quality plumbing at reasonable price is hard to find. This is the second time Kevin Helvey at Midwestern Plumbing has provided a quote and scheduled crew within a week to come out to solve our plumbing problems. The on-site technicians (Austin, Jeremy, Don, and Jet-blaster tech) were professional and very skilled. Refreshing experience and result during stressful plumbing issues.

Had a sump pump fail just due to age. Called Midwestern they got out in a couple of hours and fixed it as I had been pumping water out for a couple hours. I thought they did a decent job. Fast forward 10 days get a call from my wife basement is flooded again. Called Midwestern and who installed to gave me the spiel let us show you how well we take care of our customers. We will make it right. Tech was out in 30 min or so same guy that installed the first one. Found a piece of pipe down in the well that I believe got stuck under the float and let the pump run dry for a week and burned it up. Service manager Kevin found every reason in the book that it was our fault and not theirs. Was not happy at all with the service manager. Wasn't notified by phone that they weren't doing anything I found an email by accident.

If I could honestly give a 0 star rating I would because thats exactly what they deserve. 200$ paid for a lazy plumber to come out spend 30 seconds in my house and say its fixed. Literally stuck the snake in the toilet twice and said its fixed. Had the same issue happen and called back in less than a week. These guys Wouldn’t even come back out to look at the same issue we paid 200$ less than a week before for. Told us we need a new toilet and dismissed me otherwise. Basically said there was no way to get the item it wouldn’t push thru or no way he can retrieve it. Wouldn’t hear me out because they made 200$ to do absolutely nothing. Got the sell and could careless about the experience or satisfaction with their customer. another plumber came out from a different company and simply took the toilet up and retrieved the item that was sitting there put it back down and was done just like that! No new toilet needed. Wouldn’t recommend these guys at all.

Two guys to my house to replace a garbage disposal, install a new bathtub spot and screw on a toilet seat I had already purchased. $733, but MP would not not give me an itemized bill when finished and upon request would not itemize labor and equipment separately, even after being asked twice. Bathtub spout and garbage disposal online would cost less than $150, so just trying to figure out labor rate, and whether I was charged for each guy though the work did not require two men. I don’t have a problem with the quality of the work, just the refusal to clearly spell out their charges. Would not recommend or use them again strictly on transparent and customer service practices.
