I recently called Discount Plumbing because I was experiencing a back up of water during laundry where water backed up in both my sink and bathtub and it was not draining. They sent someone out the next morning to see what the problem was.
The gentleman they sent out was Stephen. I am extremely impressed with him. He is very professional, friendly and easy to
communicate with. I had a lot of questions.
Stephen ran the snake to try and clear the lines from a clean out in back of the house, but we could see on his camera that the pipes had collapsed.
Fortunately after running the snake at the clean out in front of the house they checked the lateral and found that those lines also collapsed and would need to be replaced, these were original pipes almost 72 years old.
Within a few days ( due to my schedule) they had a wonderful crew that began the dirty job of running new lines under my house which was completed in one day. This crew was hard working, very respectful of my home and did a great job as well of cleaning up. . These men worked so hard and I am very grateful and pleased with the work.
Stephen was in constant communication with me as well as being on the job each day. Once scheduled the lateral work to the street was performed once again in one day with another great group of men from Discount Plumbing, who left my property very clean .
I have used this company several times in the past and they always come thru for their customers.
Thank you Stephen for all you did to get my home back in working order, you truly are a dedicated asset to Discount Plumbing. If I could give a higher score it would be a 10+.

Adan was very professional, efficient, and friendly. He explained everything about the repair process and was done with his job within a few hours. I would definitely hire him again for any plumbing issues in the future.

I had a leaking pipe under the sink that required cutting the pipe and soldering in a new section. The technician, Mike, was very knowledgeable and completed the repair quickly. The location was difficult to access and even required cutting a bit of the cabinet, but he still finished everything within an hour - truly a professional.
On the downside, some basic soldering parts weren't available and had to be substituted, and the torch he used seemed worn out and in need of an upgrade.
I would have given 5 stars, but the price ($600) felt a bit high for a one-hour job, even in one of the most expensive areas of the Bay. I know that people around here pay $700 for something as simple as replacing a showerhead, which makes it hard to argue for what I believe would be a fair price (around $300 for this type of work). Still, it was an urgent situation, and overall I'm satisfied with the service.
