We’ve used Bluefrog twice now for our bigger plumbing needs and had a very positive experience both times. We first got our water heater replaced with an on-demand unit, and more recently we got a bathtub installed. Both times, we got scheduled quickly and had clear communication from Bluefrog. They were able to work with our budget and tell us what options we had, which I appreciate. Very happy with the results.

I can not thank Bluefrog enough! I called and Matt S came quickly and assessed the situation! He was kind, professional and knowledgeable! He explained my options and told me that my plumbing problem - water in my utility room and storage room would be taken care of! I was given an estimate and an appointment was made for the next day. He came the next day, did all of the agreed upon work and answered all of my questions! I will not hesitate to call Bluefrog the next time that I have a plumbing problem!

GROSSLY OVERPRICED!
I knew that when I chose to hire a corporate, franchised plumbing establishment that I would be paying more than when I hire an independent contractor, but I was astonished that it was almost triple the cost! I had 2 outdoor spickets replaced that needed 8 feet of PEX-B piping. Cost of exact materials at Home Depot is $67.00. It took them slightly more than an hour of labor and I was charged $998.68!!! Yes, I had the option to refuse, but I would have had to pay them $96.00 for the visit and then take the time to wait for someone else. So, given that this was a time sensitive issue, I bit the bullet, but it doesn’t mean that I am not pissed about it!
As I read the reviews on Bullfrog, I notice that about 90% of them mention that they are overpriced, even among those who gave 4 and 5 stars, so CLEARLY this is an ongoing issue with them. Some of their feedback attempts to justify their exorbitant pricing by noting that it includes “not only parts and labor, but also the expertise, licensing, insurance, and support that go into ensuring every job is done safely, correctly, and up to code”. This is complete BS. All plumbers pay licensing and insurance fees, and competence is not something that should cost extra. The real reason that you are paying 2/3’rds more with Bluefrog is because they have unnecessary overhead that your independent contractor who works out of his home office doesn’t have to deal with. With an independent plumber, you are paying him directly for his labor and the parts, which are reasonably up charged. With Bluefrog, the plumbers (mine came with an apprentice) are the middlemen between you and the company, so you’re not only paying 2 plumbers for a one person job, but also the company’s owner, not to mention his/her franchise fees, office personnel, rent/utilities on a building, advertising, and the upfront purchasing costs, fuel, and upkeep on fancy custom painted vans with their logo.
So if you enjoy paying triple to cover the cost for extraneous overhead, then stick with Bluefrog, but if you just want a competent, licensed plumber to get the job done, I suggest that you go with your independent contractor.

Richard came out and very quickly was able to identify that my water heater needed replacement due to corrosion. I have an unusual one and he was able to quickly find the same model new and line up the replacement to happen next day. He was timely, courteous, and a clear communicator. I greatly appreciate the work they did!

I called Blue Frog plumbing after calling one plumber that did not even return my call and a second that came to my home, threw up his hands and only offered me an extremely expensive solution to my bathtub leaky faucet problem.Matt from Blue Frog arrived on time, diagnosed the problem, and gave me three possible solutions. He was able to find an outdated part and installed it quickly. I am not one to write reviews for service companies that I use, but there is no question that these guys deserve five stars. Outstanding!
